Job summary

Stantec's Water practice in Sacramento, CA seeks a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead geotechnical projects for dams, levees, and water infrastructure. You will manage scope, budgets, and design approaches, working with multidisciplinary teams and clients to deliver practical solutions.

You will mentor staff, participate in business development, and serve as Engineer-of-Record while promoting safety, quality, and timely project delivery in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal abilities for working in diverse team environments with staff, clients, and stakeholders.
• Demonstrated successful experience in client service management.
• Demonstrated understanding of client expectations, budgeting, proposal writing, and producing high-quality deliverables.
• Demonstrated successful experience in leadership, including defining and setting the direction for a team, project, and office.

Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver geotechnical projects for dams, levees, and water infrastructure.
• Develop cost-effective, practical geotechnical designs and construction solutions.
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams from planning through construction services.
• Serve as Engineer-of-Record and mentor future leaders within the practice.
• Lead business development, write technical portions of proposals, and support client interviews.
