AGS, Inc. in San Francisco is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead subsurface investigations, geotechnical design, and construction observation on Bay Area projects, working with in-house civil, structural, and environmental teams.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering preferred; PE license required; California GE preferred.
• Minimum 6 years geotechnical engineering experience, including waterfront or public infrastructure.
• Knowledge of California seismic codes and analysis methods.
• Experience with geotechnical design, analysis, construction observation, deliverables, and proposals.
• Familiarity with Bay Area soils and hazards ( liquefaction, expansive soils ) and related practices.
• Experience with FLAC 3D, LPile, AllPile, APile, PYWall, Shaft, CLIQ3, SLIDE2 and Settle3 is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Plan and execute subsurface investigation and laboratory testing programs.
• Perform geotechnical design and analysis for foundations, retaining walls, excavations, pavements, earthwork, and slope stabilization.
• Collaborate with civil and structural engineers on integrated project design.
• Evaluate field instrumentation data to calibrate predicted vs. actual performance.
• Lead geotechnical design and construction administration on public agency and waterfront projects.
• Prepare technical proposals including scope, fee, and staffing plans.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff on project work and development.
• Manage project budgets and schedules to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery; support business development with public agency clients.
• Occasional travel for site visits within the Bay Area.
