Job summary

Socket.dev seeks a Project Manager to lead specialty geotechnical construction projects in deep foundations, shoring, earth retention, ground improvement, grouting, drilling, and dewatering in Anaheim, CA. You will own projects from estimating through closeout, coordinating with field crews, engineers, and clients to ensure successful outcomes.

The role requires 5–10+ years of construction experience, with deep foundations and cost-control expertise, and a bachelor's degree in a related field.

Qualifications

• 5 to 10+ years of construction experience, including several years as a Project Manager or in a similar role.
• Background in heavy civil, geotechnical, foundation, or specialty construction.
• Hands-on experience with deep foundations, earth retention, drilling, shoring, or ground improvement.
• Strong command of estimating, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
• Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting schedule, quality, budget, and safety goals.
• Clear, direct communication with crews, superintendents, clients, and engineers.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead geotechnical projects from estimating and preconstruction through field execution and closeout
• Prepare and review estimates, proposals, bids, and scopes of work
• Build and manage budgets, schedules, forecasts, and cost reports
• Coordinate daily activities with superintendents and field teams
• Manage subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, change orders, and material costs
• Solve problems tied to site conditions, design changes, scheduling, and field operations
• Partner with engineers and internal teams on design-build work
• Review contracts, drawings, and specifications
• Lead internal project meetings and client-facing discussions
• Support jobsite safety alongside field and safety teams
• Share lessons learned to improve execution across project teams
