About the Role

ARX is seeking a dynamic Lead Geo-Structural Engineer to join our team in Washington D.C., Pittsburgh, or Louisville. In this pivotal role, you will apply your technical expertise to drive impactful projects across North America, secure high-profile projects, build client relationships, and shape the future of our business. We are looking for a visionary leader passionate about innovation and engineering excellence.

Responsibilities
  1. Perform geotechnical engineering work including design for tunneling projects, subsurface investigations, soil foundation engineering, settlement analysis, and geological hazard assessments.
  2. Manage tasks and mentor junior staff in geotechnical design and reporting.
  3. Develop construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates; prepare safety and phasing plans; coordinate infrastructure layouts with stakeholders.
  4. Support geotechnical investigations from planning to reporting.
  5. Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team on complex projects.
Requirements
  • MS in Geotechnical/Civil or Geological Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer license required.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in geotechnical engineering.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Willingness to travel for short-term field assignments.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
