Job summary
Connect Staffing seeks a Senior Generator Technician III to lead diagnostics, repairs, testing, and mentoring activities for commercial diesel and natural gas generators in Houston. The role emphasizes expert troubleshooting and hands-on leadership in both shop and field environments.
You will mentor junior technicians, read wiring diagrams, perform load bank testing, and contribute to generator commissioning and documentation. This is a full-time on-site position with competitive hourly pay.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of commercial generator experience and diagnostic proficiency.
- Expert troubleshooting skills for generator systems and controls.
- Ability to mentor junior technicians in field and shop settings.
- Experience with major OEM engines (Caterpillar, Cummins, Kohler, MTU, Detroit Diesel).
Responsibilities
- Lead advanced diagnostics and troubleshooting tasks.
- Direct complex generator repairs and load bank testing.
- Perform generator commissioning and field servicing.
- Read wiring diagrams and schematics for installations.
- Document service activities and mentor Technicians I & II.
