Job summary

Air Force Test Center at Joint Base San Antonio, TX seeks a Lead General Engineer (NH-0801-03) to provide technical leadership for plan, analyze, and review of test and evaluation efforts across assigned programs.

The role leads an integrated, multi-disciplinary team, applies advanced engineering concepts, and mentors staff while coordinating with base, Air Force, and DoD organizations to ensure program success.

Qualifications

• Experience interfacing and briefing senior leadership (military, civilian, or contractor).
• 5+ years of test experience across multiple engineering disciplines.
• Extensive knowledge of 412 TW test, safety, reporting processes; expert in DoD acquisition practices.
• Ability to lead and coordinate a multi-disciplinary test team with internal/external partners.

Responsibilities

• Builds and leads an integrated, multi-disciplinary team in support of test and evaluation programs.
• Performs multidisciplinary engineering work to manage test and evaluation efforts for assigned programs.
• Applies advanced engineering theories and methods to optimize test approaches and outcomes.
• Develops metrics and interprets analyses to guide changes in test programs.
• Serves as a consultant and technical expert to senior officials overseeing program operations.
• Participates in planning conferences, prepares management reports, and delivers technical presentations.
