Job summary

Villanova University seeks a General Cook II to perform food preparation and cooking tasks with attention to safety and sanitation. You will work with chefs and staff to ensure quality and efficiency in the Inn at Villanova, following recipes and maintaining proper temperatures.

The role requires at least three years of basic food service experience, a high school diploma or GED, and food safety knowledge. A Serve Safe certification is a plus; excellent hygiene and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED.
• Current Serve Safe Certification (a plus).
• In-depth knowledge of food service safety and sanitation procedures.

Responsibilities

• Work assigned areas such as main kitchen, buffets, action stations with minimal supervision.
• Follow recipes and produce food items as assigned by Chefs; maintain proper temperatures and appearance.
• Clean and sanitize equipment including hoods, ovens, grills, floors, and other surfaces.
