Job summary

Mindspace is seeking a Lead GenAI Engineer (Senior) for a hands-on contractor role in Silicon Valley. You will design and build a headless GenAI application that coordinates multiple agents and enterprise services to generate structured content blueprints for downstream platforms.

• Significant hands-on experience architecting and building production GenAI applications.
• Strong Python or TypeScript software engineering and microservices experience.
• Experience designing stateful, multi-turn and multi-agent orchestration.
• Strong API-first architecture and structured-contract design experience.
• Experience building headless services that produce structured outputs for downstream applications.
• Experience integrating GenAI applications with enterprise platforms, data services and content repositories.
• Experience with RAG, grounding, application state, memory, evaluations and production observability.
• Experience building streaming, multi-turn GenAI interfaces with clarification flows, conversation history and error handling.
• Experience rendering structured responses, including tables, charts, citations and reusable results.
• Ability to propose architecture, establish coding patterns, make technical decisions and review other engineers' work.

Responsibilities

Mindspace is seeking a Data Engineer for one of our Direct Clients based in Silicon Valley .

Title: Lead GenAI Engineer (Senior Role)

Bay Area preferred, with ability to work from the office 1--2 days per week

Contract to Hire

Focus: Agentic Content-Application Architecture and Orchestration

The goal is to design and build a stateful, headless GenAI application that helps commercial
marketers create grounded and personalized content. The application will coordinate multiple
agents and enterprise services, maintain conversational and project state, and generate
structured JSON or HTML content blueprints that downstream platforms can assemble into
finished assets. This is a hands‑on senior contractor who must propose the architecture, make
key technical decisions and code critical components---not a coordination-only lead.

Minimum capabilities

• Significant hands‑on experience architecting and building production GenAI
  applications
• Strong Python or TypeScript software engineering and microservices experience
• Experience designing stateful, multi-turn and multi-agent orchestration
• Strong API-first architecture and structured-contract design experience
• Experience building headless services that produce structured outputs for downstream
  applications
• Experience integrating GenAI applications with enterprise platforms, data services and
