Position Overview

We are seeking a Lead GenAI Engineer to design, architect, and develop a stateful, headless Generative AI application focused on agentic content generation, orchestration, and personalization. The application will empower commercial marketing teams to create accurate, grounded, and personalized content by coordinating multiple AI agents and enterprise services. It will maintain conversational and project state while generating structured JSON or HTML content blueprints that downstream platforms can use to assemble finished marketing assets.

This is a hands‑on senior engineering role requiring strong technical leadership, architectural expertise, and production‑level coding skills. The ideal candidate will define the application architecture, make critical technical decisions, establish coding standards, and develop key components—not simply oversee project coordination.

Key Responsibilities and Minimum Qualifications

• GenAI Application Development: Demonstrated experience architecting and building production‑ready Generative AI applications.
• Software Engineering: Strong hands‑on Python or TypeScript development experience, including microservices architecture.
• Agentic Orchestration: Experience designing stateful, multi‑turn conversational applications and multi‑agent orchestration workflows.
• API‑First Architecture: Expertise in designing APIs, structured contracts, and reliable service integrations.
• Headless Application Development: Experience building services that generate structured outputs for downstream applications and platforms.
• Enterprise Integration: Ability to integrate GenAI applications with enterprise platforms, data services, and content repositories.
• RAG and Grounding: Experience with Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG), grounding, application state, memory, evaluation frameworks, and production observability.
• Conversational Interfaces: Experience building streaming, multi‑turn GenAI experiences with clarification flows, conversation history, and error handling.
• Structured Content Rendering: Experience rendering structured responses, including tables, charts, citations, and reusable results.
• Technical Leadership: Ability to define architecture, establish coding patterns, make technical decisions, review other engineers’ work, and deliver production‑quality code.
• Cloud and AI Platforms: Strong experience with AWS, Amazon Bedrock, and AgentCore.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with content generation, content-as-code, personalization, or marketing technology platforms.
• Familiarity with enterprise content management systems such as Workfront, Veeva Vault PromoMats, AEM Assets, or comparable platforms.
• Experience working in commercial pharmaceutical environments or other regulated content industries.

Location and Work Arrangement

• Preferred: Bay Area candidates who can work onsite at the South San Francisco office 1–2 days per week.
• Remote/Other Locations: Candidates must be able to maintain 4–6 hours of daily working‑hour overlap with Pacific Time.
