Are you an experienced Garage Door Technician or Installer who is ready for more responsibility, better earning potential, and the opportunity to lead?
We are hiring a Lead Garage Door Technician to join our growing residential team. We're looking for someone who knows garage doors inside and out, takes pride in quality workmanship, and can be the person other installers turn to when a job gets complicated.
This is a hands-on field position, not a desk job. You'll install, troubleshoot, lead complex projects, help train other installers, and play an important role in improving the overall performance of the installation team.
If you're already the person coworkers call when they can't figure something out, we want to talk with you.
As our Lead Garage Door Technician, you'll be one of the go-to people in the field for installations, troubleshooting, quality, and technician development.
The Lead Installer position is specifically responsible for supervising and training the installation team, maintaining field quality, reducing warranty callbacks, and taking the lead on major and complex projects.
This is a lead-level position, so we're looking for someone with strong hands-on garage door installation and repair experience.
You should have experience with:
The original role requires extensive knowledge of garage door and operator installation and repair, including detailed understanding of installation measurements and different operating configurations.
You're the installer who wants the job done right, not just done fast.
You're comfortable making decisions in the field. You can look at an installation problem, figure out what's happening, and come up with a solution.
You also don't mind sharing what you know. You can coach another installer without talking down to them and understand that building a stronger team ultimately makes everyone's job easier.
We're looking for someone who brings:
This is an active, hands-on trade position. You'll regularly be climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling garage door materials and equipment.
