Job summary

Trident Trust seeks a Manager of Fund Accounting to oversee multiple hedge fund clients, guiding Senior and Staff Accountants and ensuring timely, accurate reporting.

You will manage complex GAAP-based accounting, portfolio valuation, and investor reporting, with responsibility for staff development and process improvements. Location is Atlanta, with consideration for exceptional candidates in Houston or Boston.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance; master’s preferred.
• 3–5 years related or comparable experience.
• Experience with Advent Geneva, QuickBooks, or Allvue; ability to learn new software.
• Firm understanding of GAAP, specifically for fund accounting.
• Excellent problem solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• 1–3 years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting, financial reporting, investor reporting, and cash management for hedge funds and private equity funds.
• Prepare and review portfolio accounts, valuation, fee calculations and pricing.
• Hire, train, coach, and manage staff to meet client tasks.
• Build and maintain client relationships and coordinate with service providers.
• Coordinate audits and prepare audited financial statements and footnotes.
• Onboard new clients and handle ad hoc requests.
• Identify process improvements and leverage technology to gain efficiencies.
• Maintain GAAP-based books and records.
• Scope new engagements for existing clients.
