Job summary

Trident Trust seeks a Manager of Fund Accounting to oversee multiple hedge fund and private equity client engagements, guiding senior and staff accountants, delegating tasks, and ensuring GAAP-compliant reporting.

The role requires strong leadership, experience with Advent Geneva, QuickBooks, or Allvue, and the ability to perform complex fund NAV calculations, investor allocations, and audits while maintaining client relationships in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in accounting/finance required, master's preferred.
• 3–5 years related or comparable experience.
• 1–3 years of supervisory experience.
• Ability to work 12 pm - 7 pm hours.
• Experience with Advent Geneva, QuickBooks, or Allvue; ability to learn new software.
• Ability to perform fund NAV calculations, waterfalls/investor allocations.
• Ability to manage team and delegate to meet deadlines.
• Firm understanding of GAAP as it relates to fund accounting.
• Strong communication with clients, service providers and internal staff.
• Excellent problem solving, analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Attention to detail and self-management with prioritization.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; travel to industry events.

Responsibilities

• Performs and reviews accounting, financial reporting, investor reporting, and cash management for hedge funds and private equity funds.
• Prepares and reviews portfolio accounts, valuation, fee calculations and pricing.
• Hires, trains, coaches, and manages staff to meet client tasks.
• Builds and maintains positive client relationships and service-provider interactions.
• Manages accounting for new funds and engages with clients on services.
• Monitors and improves processes and technology for efficiency.
• Maintains GAAP-compliant principal books and records.
• Scopes engagements and special projects for existing clients.
• Coordinates audits and prepares audited financial statements and footnotes.
• Onboards new clients with fund structuring and regulatory documentation.
• Responds to ad hoc client requests and supports audits.
