Journey Community Schools seeks a dedicated Special Education Functional Skills teacher for our Coleman School in Memphis, TN. You will design and deliver individualized instruction focused on functional academics, daily living, communication, social-emotional development, and independence, while collaborating with families and service providers.

You will lead instruction in a compliant, inclusive classroom and monitor student progress using data to adjust instruction and supports.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field required.
• Master’s degree preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Instruction and Curriculum: Develops, adapts, and implements IEPs aligned to students’ goals.
• Assessment & Progress Monitoring: Administers assessments and tracks progress toward goals.
• Student Support & Care: Implements positive behavior supports and CPI supports as needed.
• Collaboration & Communication: Communicates with parents and collaborates with staff and service providers.
• Compliance & Documentation: Maintains IEPs and related records in compliance with regulations.
