Job summary

Intone Inc is seeking a Lead Full Stack Java Developer for a 12-month contract in Philadelphia. You will design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-grade web applications and APIs, using Java, Spring Boot, React, and Angular, with cloud-native deployments on Google Cloud Platform.

You will mentor junior developers, participate in architecture and design reviews, and drive secure, scalable solutions while aligning with CI/CD and DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 5 years of application development experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience developing enterprise web applications.
• Hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs and web services.
• Experience with React and/or Angular.
• Experience working with relational databases and SQL.
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience with source control systems, automated testing, and CI/CD processes.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise-grade web applications, APIs, and cloud-native solutions.
• Translate functional and technical requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable application designs.
• Develop RESTful APIs and integration services supporting internal and external business partners.
• Build modern user interfaces using React and Angular frameworks.
• Develop backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Implement cloud-native solutions leveraging Google Cloud Platform services.
• Participate in application architecture, technical design reviews, and solution planning sessions.
• Perform code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards, security requirements, and best practices.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior and mid-level developers.
• Support production applications by troubleshooting incidents, resolving defects, and implementing enhancements.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and operational excellence.
• Ensure compliance with security, privacy, accessibility, and software development lifecycle standards.
• Evaluate and leverage AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude Code to improve development productivity and code quality.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, estimation, and retrospectives.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, design artifacts, and implementation guides.
