Job summary

Mailchimp is a leading marketing platform for small businesses. The Experience Platform team builds the frontend infrastructure that powers Mailchimp's UI, from build pipelines to runtime features, focusing on performance, accessibility, and reliability.

You will design abstractions, write documentation, and guide best practices while collaborating with Design System and Engineering to improve build, deploy, and testing systems.

Qualifications

• Experience building large-scale frontend frameworks and libraries.
• Strong React background with ability to contribute to legacy tech (Dojo).
• Data-driven problem solving and systemic thinking to improve frontend performance.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain shared frontend libraries, packaging, versioning, and deployment.
• Establish patterns, testing strategies, and tooling to improve engineer effectiveness.
• Architect projects with micro frontend patterns and performance/accessibility standards.
• Design systems for observability and modular navigation across codebases.
• Set coding and agent best practices to reduce low-quality output.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate across distributed teams.
• Align development with business initiatives and cross-department needs.
• Stay current with tools for managing infrastructure and guide adoption.
