Disney Entertainment & ESPN Technology is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for the Core Web Platform. You will architect and deliver foundational frontend solutions powering ESPN, ABC News, NatGeo, and Marvel, mentoring engineers and guiding cross-brand technical direction.

You will advance shared web frameworks, design systems, and tooling, ensuring peak performance, accessibility, and scalable developer experiences at scale across Disney properties.

Formación

• Proven mastery of frontend web development technologies and principles.
• Minimum 7+ years of relevant industry experience with demonstrated technical leadership.
• Comprehensive expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks (React strongly preferred).
• Experience building reusable platform libraries, design systems, or shared frontend infrastructure at scale.
• Strong understanding of web performance, accessibility (WCAG), SEO, and responsive design.
• Experience with build tooling and CI/CD pipelines (Webpack, Rollup, Vite, or similar).
• Demonstrated ability to influence technical direction across multiple teams or codebases.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail; driven and self-motivated.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain shared frontend platform capabilities for ESPN, ABC News, NatGeo, Marvel, and other Disney sites.
• Define architecture and standards for multi-brand web development; lead design reviews and technical decisions.
• Research emerging web tech; prototype and adopt improvements in performance, accessibility, SEO, and DX.
• Mentor and guide engineers through code reviews, pairing, and knowledge sharing to raise frontend quality.
• Partner with product teams across brands to prioritize platform roadmap investments and deliver scalable solutions.
