Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of relevant software engineering experience with significant leadership experience.
• 5+ years hands-on production experience with JavaScript and modern web application development.
• Experience with media playback technologies in web or connected-device environments.
• Experience leading teams through full software delivery lifecycle and ensuring availability, reliability, and performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the JavaScript Disney Media Player engineering team through hiring, coaching, and performance management.
• Own execution of the team roadmap balancing feature delivery, reliability, and operational excellence.
• Provide technical leadership for the player stack and architecture with senior engineers.
• Partner with Product, Design, TPM, and platform teams to align priorities and deliver high-quality experiences.
• Foster accountability, inclusion, continuous learning, and data-driven decisions to improve playback quality.
