Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Lead Front End Engineer to drive front-end architecture and cross-functional collaboration across distributed microservices. You will mentor engineers, design scalable UI solutions, and stay at the forefront of frontend technologies including Angular, React, and modern cloud tooling.

The role requires strong software engineering background, TDD practices, and experience delivering large-scale web applications for diverse users.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.
At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience.
At least 1 year of cloud computing experience (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

Responsibilities

Work with a team of developers with deep experience in distributed microservices and full stack systems.
Perform software development on Front End Applications leveraging a test-driven development pattern.
Own the technical design and development of cross-functional, multi-platform application systems.
Mentor other members of the engineering community and stay current with tech trends.
Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based experiences for users.
Utilize JavaScript (Angular, React, Node), HTML/CSS, TypeScript and Java across cross-browser and cross-device platforms.
