Job summary

Paramount+ is looking for a Lead Software Engineer to own the technical direction and delivery of frontend experiences across Paramount+ and Pluto.tv web applications. You will lead a team of engineers, mentor colleagues, and partner with Product, Design, and Backend Engineering to ship high‑quality user experiences.

You will build and maintain React and Next.js applications, drive performance, improve architecture, and contribute to shared tooling within a monorepo.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in web application development.
• 2+ years in a technical leadership or lead engineer role.
• BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Strong experience with React/Next.js and modern frontend architecture.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical planning, execution, and delivery of frontend features for Paramount+ and Pluto.tv web applications.
• Build and maintain high-quality React and Next.js applications with a focus on performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Own frontend architecture decisions—design, data fetching, state management, and rendering strategies.
• Develop and maintain a GraphQL API layer (Apollo Server) used by multiple frontends.
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, conduct code reviews, and foster continuous improvement.
