A leading company in digital healthcare is seeking a Lead Front-End Engineer to develop responsive user interfaces. This role involves implementing UI components and optimizing performance. We are seeking a Lead Front-End Engineer to drive the development of robust, responsive, and accessible user interfaces for our digital healthcare platforms. This role is focused on the implementation and optimization of UI components and workflows, ensuring performance, maintainability, and user satisfaction. The ideal candidate is a highly skilled front-end developer who can take ownership of engineering tasks, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to scalable front-end architecture.Key Responsibilities
Front-End Development (40%)
Build and maintain high-performance, reusable front-end components using frameworks such as Angular , React , Vue , or Blazor .
Translate UI specifications and prototypes into responsive and functional applications.
Apply modern best practices for front-end development, ensuring cross-browser compatibility and optimal performance.
Collaboration & Delivery (25%)
Work closely with product managers, back-end engineers, and QA to deliver cohesive and reliable features.
Participate in agile ceremonies (planning, standups, reviews) to contribute to timely and quality releases.
Communicate technical decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Code Quality & Technical Standards (20%)
Conduct code reviews and contribute to front-end architecture standards.
Maintain and improve shared design systems, UI libraries, and coding guidelines.
Champion unit testing and automated testing practices using frameworks such as Jest, Cypress, or similar.
Accessibility & Performance (10%)
Implement accessibility features in alignment with WCAG standards.
Optimize user interfaces for responsiveness and efficient performance across devices and browsers.
Mentorship & Team Support (5%)
Provide guidance and support to junior engineers through code reviews and paired programming.
Help foster a culture of learning, collaboration, and technical curiosity within the team.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience
5–8 years of experience in front-end development with modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks.
Proven track record of delivering scalable and maintainable web applications.
Experience working in an agile development environment.
Technical Skills
Proficient in HTML5 , CSS3 , JavaScript , and TypeScript .
Strong working knowledge of front-end frameworks such as React , Angular , Vue , or Blazor .
Familiar with component-driven development and modular design principles.
Experience integrating front-end applications with RESTful APIs or GraphQL.
Experience with common software development concepts, such as dependency injection and inheritance.
Tools & Practices
Comfortable using Git and modern CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with accessibility best practices.
Experience with design handoff tools such as Figma or Sketch is a plus, but not required to lead design.
Experience in healthcare or other regulated environments (e.g., HIPAA, ADA).
Familiarity with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, Pinia, Akita).
Exposure to micro front-end architecture or Web Components.
Knowledge of responsive design techniques and browser internals.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Team-oriented, proactive communicator.
