Job summary

IAPMO is seeking a hands-on on-site Superintendent to drive commercial projects from the field in Mills River, NC. You will own schedules, safety, quality, coordination, and delivery, serving as the primary contact for subcontractors, clients, inspectors, vendors, and internal teams.

This role is field-based, not desk-only. You will anticipate challenges, make decisions, solve problems, and push each project to a strong finish with urgency and accountability.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial, healthcare, or industrial construction.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, safety practices, and building codes.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of project schedules, safety, coordination, quality, and delivery.
• Lead field operations and manage subcontractors with urgency, accountability.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and lookaheads.
• Anticipate challenges and resolve issues in real time.
• Build strong relationships with clients, inspectors, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Oversee inspections, RFIs, change orders, punch lists, and project closeout.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized jobsite that meets OSHA and company standards.
