Job summary

CrossCountry Freight Solutions in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a Freight Handler Lead with a safety-first mindset. You will lead by example, oversee daily warehouse duties, and ensure on-time performance.

This role offers a 2:30pm–10:30pm shift and $23/hour pay, reported to the Operations Supervisor. Responsibilities include coordinating dock operations, ensuring a safe dock, and assisting with loading/unloading freight.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 90 pounds.
• Forklift experience – preferred; supervisory or management experience – preferred.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all team members are on time and ready for work.
• Inspect the dock to ensure a clean and safe work environment.
• Coordinate dock operations with dispatch.
• Meet with Operations Supervisors for daily assignments.
• Assist with loading and unloading a wide variety of freight.
