STR is seeking a Lead Firmware Engineer to implement complex FPGA-based algorithms for radar and EW systems. You will test, verify, and integrate FPGA firmware, working across simulation, lab tests, and production transitions.

Formación

• Requires TS clearance or eligibility; US citizenship required.
• Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of applicable experience, or Master’s with 5+ years, or PhD with 2+ years.
• Experience with FPGA/SoC design entry using Verilog or VHDL.
• Design flow experience for Xilinx and/or Intel FPGAs.
• Experience with simulation tools (ModelSim/Questa, VCS, Incisive).
• Strong teamwork, communication, and mentoring skills.

Responsabilidades

• Map system requirements to FPGA specifications.
• Validate designs with simulation and verification before hardware integration.
• Participate in FPGA development process improvements.
• Support full life cycle of FPGA firmware integration into hardware systems.
• Create and maintain design documentation and test plans.
• Deliver technical briefings to internal/external stakeholders.
• Coordinate with program managers to manage schedules and budgets.
• Mentor junior engineers to accelerate development.
• Build and maintain high-performing technical teams.
