Job summary

The Broad Institute in Cambridge, MA seeks a Lead Financial Analyst for FP&A and Systems to drive institutional budgeting, forecasting, and multi-year planning while administering Workday Adaptive Planning. This role blends rigorous corporate finance with mission-driven research, supporting complex funding across grants, gifts, and operations.

You will own planning processes, build financial models, and enable data-driven insights for senior leadership and governance committees.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related quantitative field required; MBA or MS in Finance/Data Analytics preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive FP&A experience with 2+ years as hands-on Administrator/Lead Developer for Workday Adaptive Planning.
  • Prior experience in academic medicine, life sciences, biotechnology, or non-profit/research institutes with sponsored program funding preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the administration of Workday Adaptive Planning, including forecasting, annual operating budgets, capex, and headcount planning.
  • Serve as the administrator for Workday Adaptive Planning: security, permissions, version controls, workflows, and integrations with ERP/HCM systems.
  • Design, build, and maintain Adaptive Planning sheets, accounts, formulas, and dashboards to evolve with institutional funding models.
  • Build and maintain OfficeConnect templates and Adaptive reports for monthly/quarterly executive reporting; ensure data integrity.
  • Train and support budget holders and finance team on Adaptive Planning best practices.
