Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a highly accomplished Forward Deployed Engineer to join our Public Sector team, blending data science, integration, and enterprise platforms at mission-critical sites.

You will design and deliver scalable pipelines, API-led integrations (MuleSoft/Regrello), and AI/ML systems, working with mission owners and engineers to accelerate DoD, IC, and aerospace outcomes. This role requires travel to customer sites and a focus on secure, regulated environments.

Qualifications

• Senior Forward Deployed Engineer with hands-on data science pipelines and enterprise integration experience.
• Experience with API-led integration and enterprise workflow orchestration.
• Ability to work on-site with government/mission contexts in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Deploy data science and integration solutions at customer sites in defense, IC, and aerospace contexts.
• Embed with mission owners and translate challenges into end-to-end data science and integration solutions.
• Design and implement high-quality, scalable ML analytics systems and automation pipelines.
• Build bespoke API-led integrations using MuleSoft/Regrello and related platforms.
• Guide junior engineers and contribute to knowledge transfer and best practices.

This is a unique and high-impact position, blending the roles of a hands-on data scientist, integration architect, and strategic partner embedded directly with customers.

In this role, you will be the primary driver for bringing cutting-edge data science pipelines, intelligent automation, and enterprise integration solutions to life for mission-critical work across the U.S. Department of Defense, Intelligence Community (IC), and Aerospace & Allied Nations.

This role demands a seasoned technologist who thrives working forward-deployed at customer sites, building bespoke solutions leveraging enterprise workflow orchestration platforms such as Regrello and API-led connectivity platforms such as MuleSoft, while also designing and delivering advanced AI/ML systems. Candidates with equivalent experience in comparable platforms are strongly encouraged to apply; direct experience with these specific tools is a plus. You will work directly with mission owners and internal teams-from initial concept through deployment and ongoing optimization-to solve the most complex data and integration challenges in national security environments.
