84.51° is seeking a Lead Forward Deployed Engineer to join the AI SDLC team and drive AI tooling adoption across Kroger and 84.51°. You will spend time embedded with delivery teams, writing code, and shaping how developers use AI within a large enterprise.

This hands-on role spans software delivery, observability, DevOps, security, and developer experience, requiring leadership and strong coding contributions.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in a technology related discipline or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of experience on Agile teams delivering high-quality software (Python and Java preferred).
• 5+ years of experience with public cloud technologies (Azure preferred).
• 3+ years in Platform Engineering, DevEx, or related roles.
• Experience with AI tooling like Claude Code, Codex, Cursor in enterprise.
• Strong communication with technical and non-technical teams.
• Desire to learn new tech and grow across areas like AI concepts.

Responsibilities

• Exemplify best-practice for software delivery with agentic coding tools.
• Document learnings from embedded work and experiments for AI Enablement.
• Ensure observability of adoption using Datadog, Dynatrace, and related tools.
• Bridge platform offerings and user adoption, documenting capability gaps.
• Maintain internal Plugin Marketplaces to improve usability of offerings.
• Hit SLAs and lead incident management procedures.
• Collaborate with tech, infra, and product teams to complete tasks.
• Participate in team on-call rotation and customer support.
