About This Position

The Food Service Supervisor performs kitchen duties and supervises inmate labor in the preparation and serving of meals in accordance with departmental standards and work instructions. Supervisory duties involve overseeing inmate labor.

Essential Functions, Duties, And Responsibilities

• Independently prepares and instructs inmate labor in food preparation.
• Handles production and sanitation paperwork to ensure compliance.
• Ensures cleaning and maintenance of equipment and work areas, following safety and sanitation practices.
• Follows institutional requirements for meal preparation and service.
• Stores food and supplies properly.
• Performs in high-volume food production settings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
