Job summary

Endeavor Health in Naperville, IL is hiring a Food Service Assistant Lead to join our patient meal service team. This full-time role supports safe, timely delivery of meals to patients and customers and requires leadership in daily workload management.

You will assemble and serve meal trays, supervise staff, ensure cleanliness, and manage patient intake records. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, healthcare food service experience, and the required Illinois sanitation

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED or two years of food service experience
• Experience: Minimum two years of healthcare food service experience
• Certification: Illinois ANSI Accredited Food Handlers Certificate within 30 days of start
• Certification: Illinois Food Service Sanitation Manager Certificate within three months

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe and fresh delivery of foods and services to patients and customers in a timely, professional manner.
• Lead workload and workflow of the team.
• Assemble and serve meal trays to patients efficiently.

Hourly Pay Range:

$18.68 - $26.15 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Position:Food Service Assistant Lead
• Location: Edward Hospital - Naperville, IL
• Full Time, 40 weekly hours
• Hours: Monday-Friday, 6-2:30pm OR 12pm-8:30pm with every other weekend and rotating holidays

What you will do:

• This position is part of the team that insures safe and fresh delivery of foods and services to patients as well as customers in a timely and professional manner.
• Functioning in a lead capacity, with direct responsibility for the workload and workflow of the team.
• Responsible for assembling and serving meal trays to patients in an efficient and timely manner.
• Retrieving soiled trays and recording patient intake.

What you will need:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED or a minimum of two years of food service experience
• Experience: A minimum of two years of previous food service experience in a healthcare environment
• Certification: State of Illinois ANSI Accredited Food Handlers Certificate within 30 days of start date of position for employees working on their Food Service Sanitation Manager Certificate
• Certification: State of Illinois Food Service Sanitation Manager Certificate required within three (3) months of hire
