Qualifications

• Supervisory or line leadership experience in food processing.
• Experience supervising hourly production employees.
• Understanding of food safety, GMPs, sanitation, HACCP.
• Ability to manage schedules, staffing, attendance, quality, and efficiency.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Supervise approximately 30 to 40 production employees and line leads.
• Coordinate daily production activities to meet customer orders and production schedules.
• Assign employees to production lines and ensure adequate line coverage.
• Monitor product quality, yields, labor utilization, efficiencies, and downtime.
• Ensure employees follow GMPs, HACCP procedures, safety rules, and company policies.
• Train, coach, motivate, and develop production employees.
• Address attendance, productivity, conduct, and performance issues.
• Conduct team meetings and employee training.
• Complete production reports and maintain required documentation.
• Work closely with Quality Assurance, Maintenance, Sanitation, and plant management.
• Help identify process improvements and ways to reduce waste and downtime.
• Ensure production areas and equipment remain safe, clean, and operational.
• Maintain appropriate working relationships with USDA representatives.
