Job summary

Circle K Stores Inc. in Sheridan, IN seeks a Food Prep Lead to supervise and support food service operations.

You will ensure quality food prep, maintain safety standards and deliver excellent customer service while mentoring new team members. Responsibilities include coordinating food preparation, stocking display cases, performing price changes, training associates, and upholding company guidelines for cleanliness and inventory control.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus 6 months to 1 year of retail store or food service experience.
• Knowledge of basic business and customer service principles including planning and organizing.
• Ability to communicate information clearly and work scheduled hours.
• Ability to operate equipment such as beverage dispensers, grills, ovens and fry stations.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical duties as described.

Responsibilities

• Ensure deliveries are accurate, stocked, displayed and priced correctly.
• Complete build-to’s for ordering merchandise and maintain inventory.
• Prepare displays with dating and price markings.
• Rotate food items and monitor freshness to protect customers.
• Assist training new associates and coach on customer service.
• Make price changes per guidelines and post signage.
• Provide prompt, courteous customer service and greet/thank customers.
• Maintain safe, clean work environment and equipment sanitation.
• Monitor inventory to avoid stockouts and support sales.
• Operate cash register and support team in busy periods.
