Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA seeks an Electrical Systems Diagnostics Engineer focused on diagnostics and Root Cause Analysis to ensure the reliability and uptime of our public vehicles. You will lead complex electrical troubleshooting, analyze CAN networks, and translate findings into actionable engineering improvements.

You will collaborate with service technicians and design engineers, perform RCA investigations, and mentor staff in CAN tools and safety practices.

Qualifications

5+ years in automotive, robotics, aerospace, or similar fields.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
Proficient in CAN network analysis tools and vehicle diagnostics.
Strong RCA knowledge and problem-solving abilities.
Able to read wiring schematics and use bench tools on vehicles.
Excellent communication with technicians and engineers.

Responsibilities

Serve as the highest-level escalation point for complex electrical, electronic, and network issues on our public vehicles.
Use CAN tools and diagnostic equipment to interrogate vehicle networks and identify faults.
Analyze vehicle logs to reconstruct failure events and identify faults.
Lead RCA investigations and present findings to engineering teams.
Collaborate with technicians to guide repairs and improvements.
