Job summary

Meyer Utility Structures, an Arcosa subsidiary, is seeking a Lead Fitter/Welder for our Tulsa, OK plant. You will use jigs and fixtures to lay out pieces and weld according to blueprints, layouts, or work orders, then inspect finished work for conformance to specs.

You will lead a team of welders, perform multi-pass and horizontal/vertical welds, and maintain equipment while training lower-level staff. Safety and quality are emphasized throughout daily tasks.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in welding or fitting roles.
• Flux Core experience required.
• Certified to perform horizontal and vertical welds.
• Ability to perform multi-pass welds.
• Ability to perform 'C' (circumferential) welds.
• Qualify as a flat welder.
• Maintain 90% pass rate on UT inspection.
• Basic understanding of Oxy Fuel/Plasma burning.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of welders and coordinate tasks.
• Repair welds and ensure workmanship meets specifications.
• Assist with task completion to meet deadlines.
• Apply welding processes to join, surface, fabricate, and repair parts per layouts and schematics.
• Perform complex repairs and weld clips/ hardware as needed.
• Weld ends to poles or channels using full penetration welds.
• Operate grinding equipment and maintain tools.
