Job summary

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) is seeking a Lead Firmware Engineer in Pullman, WA. You will design, implement, document, and test safety-critical firmware systems, while understanding hardware/software interactions and mentoring junior engineers.

The role emphasizes collaboration across hardware and software teams, with opportunities to grow knowledge of SEL processes and products, and to follow SEL values and operations in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience.
• Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
• Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
• Background check results satisfactory to SEL.
• Negative drug test result(s).

Pay Range Data:

Lead Firmware Engineer $115,300 - $170,400

Our compensation ranges are based on the responsibilities of the role. Starting pay is determined individually and considers factors such as relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and training. Candidates may be considered at different levels based on their background. As a result, pay may vary to align with the level of the role.
