Job summary

Sciens Building Solutions is seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Foreman to provide installation services for all forms of fire sprinkler systems in the Maryland area. You will lead installations, read blueprints, and coordinate with AHJ, designers, and GCs for quality and safety.

The role requires five years in Fire and Life Safety, sprinkler apprenticeship completion, NFPA knowledge, and the ability to train others. Travel and driver’s license may be needed; competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of Sprinkler Apprenticeship, 4th year Foreman.
• Strong NFPA knowledge and ability to read drawings.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints to install sprinkler piping.
• Lead installation of new, retrofit, and tenant projects.
• Cut, thread, and groove pipe to specs with appropriate tools.
• Coordinate with contractors to resolve field conflicts.
• Manage job scheduling and progress with safety focus.
• Provide guidance to field installers and helpers.
• Inspect and interact with AHJ for testing and issue resolution.
• Assist peers and customers onsite.
• Assess daily jobs, plan future work, order materials.
• Install based on BIM designs and verify scope.
• Adhere to Sciens safety programs and procedures.
