Job summary

VSC Fire & Security in Austin, Texas is seeking a Foreman to lead installation teams in fire sprinkler systems and related life-safety projects. The role includes supervising on-site execution, coordinating with crews, and ensuring adherence to plans and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Two to three years of experience in installation of fire sprinkler systems, pipefitting, or fire protection codes and standards.
• Proficient in following written and verbal instructions, with exceptional attention to detail and communication skills.
• Ability to establish productivity onsite and set goals for employees to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily site inspections for handling, storing, installation, and testing of all materials and performance of the site.
• Follow designed plans and communicate needed design changes to fit actual site requirements.
• Be responsible for materials delivered to site and for minor fabrication on the job site, and document change orders.
• Lead an installation team and manage a large job with multiple crews on location; conduct weekly safety meetings.
