Qualifications

• State or municipality mandated security officer licenses.
• Must have Fire Safety Directors license.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Minimum High School Diploma, GED or the equivalent.
• Knowledge of or ability to learn fire inspection operations and procedures.
• Must have reliable means of communication and transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional customer-focused security and life safety services for people and property.
• Lead staff, maintain professional demeanor, and aid customers, employees, visitors, and guests.
• Monitor the facility, detect suspicious or unsafe activity, and enforce facility policies.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in fire safety planning and drills.
• Prepare reports detailing inspections, standards violations, and fire hazard recommendations.
• Maintain records and logs as required by law.
• Possibly perform related security and fire inspector duties at assigned site(s).
• May train others in fire emergency response plans.
