Job description

As a Lead Field Service Technician at Honeywell, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and managing field service operations within our Building Automation business. You will lead a team of technicians, ensuring efficient service delivery to customers. Your duties include troubleshooting and resolving technical issues remotely and on-site, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop solutions, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Your expertise and leadership will directly impact the success of our operations and customer relationships.

You will report directly to the Sr. Field Service Supervisor.

Location Requirement: Must reside within 30-50 miles of San Francisco, CA.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Guide and manage a team of field service technicians to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
  2. Conduct regular inspections and testing of fire alarm systems to ensure proper functionality.
  3. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with fire alarm systems, including diagnosing and repairing faulty components.
  4. Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to address fire safety needs.
  5. Provide training and support to clients on fire alarm systems.
  6. Work hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM California time.
  7. Be available for on-call rotation; night work is required.
  8. Company vehicle and mobile phone will be provided for travel and communication.
  9. Travel up to 50% as required.

Salary: $79,200 - $99,050 annually ($37.98 - $47.62 per hour). Salary offers depend on various factors including experience, education, skills, and market conditions.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • 5+ years of experience in field service, focusing on complex technical solutions.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience installing, servicing, and maintaining fire alarm systems.
  • NICET certification in Fire Alarm Systems.
  • California Fire/Life Safety certification.
  • Strong technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field; Master’s preferred.
  • Additional fire safety certifications.
  • Knowledge of local fire codes and regulations.
  • Leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
