Wayne Automatic Fire Sprinklers Inc. is hiring an experienced Fire Alarm Technician in Jacksonville to lead installation and service of fire alarm systems in commercial settings. You will supervise apprentices on-site, ensure adherence to codes and WAFS standards, and maintain safe, efficient work practices.

The role requires 3+ years in fire alarm work, blueprints literacy, and strong leadership. NICET/OSHA certifications are preferred; valid driver's license required for company vehicle use.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of knowledge and hands-on experience in installing fire alarm systems, reading blueprints, and conducting system testing.
• Preferred NICET certification, OSHA 30-hour course, and lift certification.
• Proficient with company-specific software and strong leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise installation of alarm systems to meet schedule, budget, and standards.
• Oversee layout and installation of panels, wiring, and related equipment.
• Interpret blueprints and installation instructions accurately.
• Complete work orders, carry materials, and manage site access safely.
• Perform maintenance and replacement on system components as needed.
• Notify management of issues or changes on site; maintain safety protocols.
• Build relationships with general contractors to meet project goals.
