Job summary

Interface Systems is seeking an experienced Lead Fire Alarm Installation Technician to oversee cabling, programming, testing and commissioning of fire alarm systems on projects. You may lead a single Installer or a small team and will relay updates and challenges to leadership while coordinating with customers.

The role involves installing fire alarm solutions, terminating network cabling, and ensuring compliance with NEC standards.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience as a field technician in electronic security.
Experience with EST and Honeywell Systems.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to read and understand technical documents and drawings.

Responsibilities

Install and maintain Fire Systems.
Work in the field with the most efficient methods to solve service issues.
Train customers on Interface provided systems.
Maintain acceptable and accurate inventory levels by conducting physical inventory counts.
Verify and submit all documentation for inventoried items according to company policy.
Install and terminate network and security cabling.
Firestopping various types of cable penetrations.
Install systems to current NEC standards.
Relay information to team members and leadership.
Adhere to OSHA Health & Safety guidelines.
Interface with customer contacts on projects and service requests.
Coordinate with end-users and vendors for each project.
Hands-on field interaction with customers at the site level.
Maintain assigned vehicle and tools.
