Great American Insurance Group is seeking an Underwriting Manager for its AgriBusiness division in Cincinnati, OH. The role leads underwriting team operations, develops strategic plans, and ensures compliant delivery of insurance solutions to farmers and ranchers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Risk Management and Insurance or related field.
• Minimum of 9 years underwriting experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Pursuit of professional designation (AU/CPCU/CIC/INS/ARM) preferred.
• Typically manages 2+ reports and implements policies under management guidance.
• Experience with equestrian events and equine farms is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee underwriting team operations, optimize workflows and drive productivity.
• Develop and execute strategic plans for underwriting aligned with business goals.
• Evaluate quality/volume of underwritten risks and generate detailed reports.
• Build strategic relationships with internal/external stakeholders to drive profitable growth.
• Ensure documentation and compliance with state/federal insurance regulations.
• Lead policy renewals and modifications with risk mitigation in mind.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and monitor service levels.
• Maintain/update underwriting rules and rating manuals as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
