Verdantas is seeking an experienced Survey Crew Chief to join our Survey and Geospatial Services team. The role is based in Ohio and offers flexibility across Verdantas offices while collaborating with professionals statewide.

You will lead field crews, perform boundary and topographic surveys, process data with AutoCAD Civil 3D, and coordinate schedules and technology across projects. Travel across Ohio is required.

Competenze

• Five or more years of field and office survey experience, including leadership.
• Experience with boundary, topographic, construction layout, right-of-way, utility, control, and planimetric surveys.
• Working knowledge of ALTA/NSPS surveys and legal descriptions.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center.
• Experience with GPS, robotic total stations, RTK, VRS, and related survey tech.
• Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to travel to project sites across Ohio with valid license.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in surveying or related field preferred.

Mansioni

• Lead and coordinate field survey crews with emphasis on safety, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Perform boundary, topographic, right-of-way, utility, construction layout, control, and planimetric surveys.
• Collect and post-process field data (GPS, RTK, VRS, total stations).
• QA/QC reviews of completed fieldwork.
• Maintain field notes and reports; track crew productivity.
• Convert survey data into AutoCAD Civil 3D drawings.
• Coordinate construction survey services and develop plats and legal descriptions.
• Schedule field work, coordinate equipment, and communicate across Verdantas offices.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and surveyors.
• Perform both office-based survey duties and field surveying as needed.
