Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an Entry level Surveyor in Omaha, NE to coordinate and supervise surveying tasks across the project lifecycle. You will establish baselines, align drawings with layouts, and ensure accuracy while coordinating with trades and submittals.

Responsibilities include daily equipment inspections, data submissions to owners, and assisting with safety and quality programs. Ideal candidate has OSHA 30 and hands-on surveying experience, with CAD proficiency and strong

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 3 years surveying experience; 2 years supervisory experience.
• OSHA 30-hour certification required.
• Expert knowledge and use of surveying equipment.
• Proficient in CAD or surveying programs for coordinates.
• Read and interpret contract docs, drawings, specs, schedules.
• Strong leadership, supervisory and communication skills; emergency communication.
• Proficient with mobile devices for job communications and apps.
• Understand safety instructions and signage for site work.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise surveying tasks throughout project duration.
• Identify drawing discrepancies within building layout.
• Establish baseline controls; compute and lay out points from documents.
• Ensure coordination between trades using drawings, shop drawings, submittals.
• Conduct As-Built Surveys and submit electronic data to owner.
• Engage and coordinate work with other trades.
• Inspect surveying equipment daily and track calibrations.
• Inventory and order surveying supplies.
• Develop and submit project billings based on service rates.
• Develop work schedules and crew assignments.
• Assist site safety and quality programs and ensure compliance.
• Complete time sheets, daily reports, and safety paperwork.
• Demonstrate leadership and maintain relationships with customers and subs.
• Travel and accommodate night/weekend work as needed.
