Job summary

Bowman Consulting in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Survey Party Chief to join our team. You will perform field tasks related to surveying and geospatial data collection, lead a crew, and coordinate with contractors to ensure accurate and timely data gathering.

The role requires at least 3 years of land surveying experience, plus knowledge of AutoCAD/Civil 3D and GPS data collection. A valid driver's license is essential; strong leadership and communication are valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's preferred.
• Three or more years of land surveying party experience.
• Current State Driver’s License required; good driving record.
• Familiar with total station, GPS, and data collection practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day supervision of survey field crew and mentor juniors.
• Coordinate with contractors to deliver survey services.
• Identify controls for property lines and decide survey approach.
• Gather necessary information to conduct surveys efficiently and assign tasks.
• Discuss work with clients as needed and maintain records.
