Job summary

Pennoni in Raleigh, NC, is seeking an experienced Survey Crew Chief to lead field surveying operations on a range of land surveying projects, including boundary, topographic, and construction staking. You will manage the crew, ensure proper surveying procedures, and deliver accurate field data and documentation.

The role requires strong field leadership, 4+ years of surveying experience, a valid driver's license, and proficiency with total stations, GPS, robotic instruments, and data collection

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 4+ years of professional experience in Land Surveying and/or Construction.
• Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Direct a survey crew on boundary, topographic, construction, and engineering surveys.
• Operate and maintain total stations, data collectors, GPS, and robotic instruments.
• Collect field data using conventional, robotic, GPS, and drone methods.
• Prepare field notes, sketches, and calculations for layouts and surveys.
• Train crew members and enforce field safety procedures.
• Perform on-site QA/QC checks to ensure data accuracy.
• Operate ATVs/UTVs safely on project sites.
• Deliver high-quality work reflecting Pennoni's standards.
