You will plan data acquisition, read construction drawings, coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients, and ensure accurate field notes, reports, and adherence to safety procedures. 5+ years' experience and ability to lift 80 lbs required; travel may be needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industry experience, prior crew chief experience preferred.
• Proficient with field surveying instruments and configurations.
• Strong communication skills and professional client interaction.
• Able to work outdoors year-round in all weather, lift up to 80 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a land survey crew for daily field operations (boundary, topographic, construction).
• Determine efficient plan of action for data acquisition in field surveys.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and project specs.
• Communicate with project managers, engineers, and technicians on schedules and progress.
• Interact with client representatives and landowners professionally.
• Anticipate, prevent, and solve problems within authority.
• Collect and document survey data, field notes, sketches, and communications.
• Prepare daily reports, time sheets, and required paperwork.
• Maintain survey vehicles and field equipment.
• Follow company safety procedures and practices.
• Other duties as assigned.
