Job summary

Stewart & Stevenson seeks a Field Service Technician III to diagnose problems and perform complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs at the customer’s site, handling oil field equipment including refractory units and coil tubing units.

You will troubleshoot, order parts, perform major repairs, conduct load bank tests, and lead generator commissioning across brands such as Atlas Copco, Sullair, and Doosan.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 3–7 years related experience.
• A valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Accurately troubleshoot and diagnose customer equipment problems.
• Identify and order parts needed for repairs and routine maintenance.
• Perform complex/major repairs on customer equipment and replace parts as necessary.
• Conduct routine maintenance according to guidelines and schedules.
• Complete work orders and time sheets accurately and on time.
• Assist lower-level technicians as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Adhere to quality standards and safety procedures.
• Conduct load bank tests to verify generator capacity and performance.
• Lead generator commissioning activities and verify system installations.
• Troubleshoot and repair portable and stationary compressors (electric and diesel).
• Read electrical wiring diagrams and pneumatic schematics.
• Work with brands such as Atlas Copco, Sullair, and Doosan.
