Job summary
Goodwin Recruiting seeks an experienced Field Service Technician to support installation, start-up, inspection, maintenance, and improvement of heavy industrial equipment. You will work in the field with customers, supervise installation and maintenance activities, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and identify opportunities for upgrades and spare parts.

Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance or field service experience in a millwright, electrical, pipefitting, instrumentation, or related technical role.
- Previous experience leading or supervising field crews, contractors, or trades.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience reading engineering drawings and electrical schematics.
- Experience with heavy industrial hammermill shredding systems and metal recycling is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Supervise equipment installation, start-up, maintenance, and service activities at customer facilities.
- Coordinate contractors and trades to ensure projects are completed safely, correctly, on schedule, and within budget.
- Inspect and troubleshoot industrial equipment and mechanical/electrical systems.
- Communicate project and service status with customers and internal teams.
- Maintain accurate field service and inspection reports.
- Identify equipment issues, risks, and opportunities for improved performance.
- Recommend and support repairs, refurbishments, retrofits, system upgrades, and spare parts.
- Develop strong relationships with existing customers and identify additional service opportunities.
- Maintain high standards for workmanship, customer satisfaction, and job-site safety.
