Job summary

Honeywell Intelligrated is seeking a Field Service Technician in Wisconsin. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of automated material handling systems. Candidates must have a background in engineering and experience with PLC troubleshooting. This position requires extensive travel and hands-on work with robotic systems.

Qualifications

• 2 years of field experience or 5 years with a high school diploma.
• Valid Driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to read schematics and wiring.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and electrical installation/upgrades.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and PLC issues.
• Train and support technicians.

Job description

• Performs mechanical and electrical installation or modification to Intelligrated & Legacy equipment – 20%
• New equipment commissioning and integration – Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and PLC issues – 40%
• Modify, adjust, or develop robotic and PLC application code – 20%
• Complete various weekly reports –10%
• Train and supports resident technicians – 10%
• Travel 85% throughout the Southeast region, and occasionally to other regions.

YOU MUST HAVE

• The following combination of education and experience : Associate’s Degree in Engineering and 2 years of field experience.High school diploma (or equivalent) and 5 years of experience.
• Diagnostic proficiency with one of the types of PLC (Modicon, PLC5, PLC500).
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical aptitude.
• Valid Driver's license.
• Reliable transportation to a major airport (Must be within a One Hour commute of nearest airport).
