Lead Field Service Technician (Commercial Doors)

About the Company:

Our client is a globally recognized manufacturer specializing in Entrance Solutions. Their product portfolio includes sectional doors, garage doors, steel rollup doors, high-speed doors, and docking systems. They are committed to delivering excellence in quality and service to their commercial clients.

This is a DIRECT HIRE opportunity, requiring local travel.

Openings in Charleston, SC, Greenville, SC, and Columbia, SC

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Install, wire, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of commercial/industrial overhead doors, dock equipment, motors, and controls.
  2. Use hand tools and power tools proficiently.
  3. Perform heavy lifting, occasionally exceeding 75 lbs.
  4. Operate powered lift equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts.
  5. Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address site-specific challenges.
  6. Mechanical or electrical experience is advantageous.
  7. Maintain a self-motivated, teachable, and hardworking attitude.
  8. Follow company and OSHA safety policies and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
  9. Provide excellent customer service while operating a company vehicle at customer sites.
  10. Manage inventory, complete administrative paperwork, and uphold safety standards.

Qualifications:

  1. Experience in the commercial door industry.
  2. At least two years of experience as a door technician.
  3. Proficiency in installation, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial/industrial door systems.
  4. Ability to work independently and in a team.
  5. Strong customer service skills, professionalism, and efficiency.
  6. Comfortable with heavy lifting, bending, kneeling, and climbing ladders.
  7. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
