A leading healthcare company is seeking a Lead Field Service Technician in New York to provide post-sale technical support and ensure customer satisfaction through onsite engagements. This role demands excellent technical troubleshooting skills and requires extensive travel. The ideal candidate has an associate degree and 3-5 years of field experience. Lead Field Service Technician to provide post-sale technical support to customers through onsite engagements. This role may involve regional and national travel to support accounts.
Lead projects, provide first-line customer communications, manage daily data submissions, and travel extensively to customer locations in this field-based role.
Master diverse technical skills including preventive maintenance, calibration, active remediations, device assembly/disassembly, implementation procedures, and participation in Skills Labs to ensure comprehensive service capabilities.
Provide onsite and remote support services, including installations, troubleshooting, system support, software maintenance and upgrades, while ensuring minimal downtime through prompt resolution of equipment errors and malfunctions.
Execute complex equipment and software installations with customized configurations, maintain high-quality documentation standards, train service associates, and continuously improve processes to develop efficient technical resolutions.
Implement effective logistics and spare parts distribution to improve first-time-fix rates, ensure customer satisfaction throughout the entire lifecycle, with 100% travel expectations and the ability to lift/transfer up to 70 lbs individually.
Associate degree, military training programs or equivalent field service experience. (3-5 years field experience)
Strong computer skills with the ability to troubleshoot project setup, technical issues, and closeouts remotely within multiple software programs
Self-motivated individual who can work independently or collaboratively within a team
Develops competency in your area by performing routine work when required
Possesses and maintains a valid driver's license and meets BD's auto safety standards.
Demonstrated experience in biomedical, networking, military, or field-based technician roles, providing a strong foundation for technical troubleshooting and equipment management.
Previous work experience in healthcare settings, understanding clinical workflows, patient care considerations, and healthcare facility protocols.
Exceptional skills in troubleshooting various Microsoft applications including Outlook, Excel, Word, OneNote, and Bomgar, with ability to quickly resolve technical issues and provide support.
Willingness and ability to work weekend and overtime hours as required, demonstrating commitment to meeting critical service needs and emergency response situations.
Ability to maintain all required vendor credentialing standards including immunization records, vaccine documentation, demonstrated product competency, and valid driver's license with clean driving record of at least 3 years that meets BD's auto safety standards.
